a private record you own — on your device, in your file
Who is this record for?
You can switch any time. Your entries stay private to this device and to the backup file you export.
Student, 16+
A short daily reflection on how learning felt — relevance, having a say, support, pace and pressure. Your own space.
Parent / carer
A dated, factual log of interactions with schools or agencies — built so it can later read as a clean chronology for advocacy.
Your data is yours
No server, no account. This file runs on its own. Back up regularly — the JSON file is your real record and moves between devices.
Bring a child in from Day's End
For parents/carers using Day's End for a younger child: import that child's backup file here and their advocacy log (plus a short reflections summary) is added to your parent / carer chronology — so several children sit in one master record. One-way and manual: nothing syncs automatically, and the child's Day's End is untouched.
Sync to your own Google Sheet · optional
Connect your own Google account and Throughline writes your entries into a spreadsheet in your Drive — so your record survives a cleared browser or a new device. The data goes straight from your browser to your Google account; R8rly never sees or stores it. You can disconnect any time.
Self-hosting, simply
1. Download this .html file and keep it somewhere you'll find it.
2. Double-click to open it in any browser — no internet needed.
3. Entries save on that device. Use Export backup to keep a copy of the JSON file, and to move data to another device (then Import backup there).
4. Want it on several devices? Put the .html and your JSON backup in a synced folder (Drive, Dropbox, iCloud).
